Chorley Guardian Military Project

An index of every newspaper article in the Chorley Guardian that features a person in the Military. Find when he joined, where he served and what he did and including deaths in service. But beyond that we collect when he married, the birth of his children, misdemeanours, where he worked, which Church he went to, retirement from work, and death in old age. This is work in progress and at present only covers 1895, 1914 to 1918 but will eventually cover the period 1895 to 1995.
