Look Up Service

In association with the LFHHS Chorley Family History Research Centre
we are offering lookups of the following databases

1) Frank Hough's Mining Archive
A massive database with details of mines going back to the 1770's, with Descriptions, Location, Geology, Owners, Events and Incidents. Named people are indexed.
This index was produced from the original books being held by
Chorley Heritage Centre Support Group.
(Examples of what you might find)

2) Chorley and Adlington Burial Records

3) Military articles in the Chorley Guardian
Another massive database. This one is still being worked on. It is a list of every newspaper article in the Chorley Guardian that features a person in the Military.
We pick up when he joined, where he served and what he did. If he died we also record that. Beyond that we collect when he married, the birth of his children, misdemeanours, where he worked, which Church he went to, retirement from work, and death in old age.
(Examples of the kinds of things you might find.)
